Tour Overview

A Beautiful blend of peaceful mountain charm & old-world hill-station appeal: This North East Itinerary Spread over a week, it takes you from the hustle, bustle and ethnic colours of Gangtok to the tranquillity of Pelling before taking you into the tea-scented slopes of Darjeeling. With high alpine lakes, sacred shrines, monasteries and waterfalls; tranquil village landscapes; some of the best sunrise viewpoints on earth; and perhaps even better mountain scenery all along the way there is a whole lot to take in. The brilliant thing about this route is that each stop feels different, without being too overwhelming. Gangtok is known for its culture and viewpoints; Pelling is home to lakes and lesser-known spots hidden behind the scenes; and Darjeeling is filled with heritage sights amidst the quintessential Himalayan backdrop. It is standard hilly fare: scenic and with just enough variation to be paced forlornly through an elongated hill holiday.
