Get ready for a classic Himalayan reset as you wind through the mist-covered hills of Darjeeling and the bright, busy streets of Gangtok. You’ll start in Darjeeling, where the air smells like tea and the sunrise at Tiger Hill makes the early wake-up call totally worth it. From there, the drive to Gangtok takes you past rolling estates and steep mountain bends, leading to a few days of exploring local monasteries and quiet viewpoints. The real highlight is heading even higher to the icy blue Tsomgo Lake and the nearby Baba Mandir. It’s a trip full of steep climbs, spiritual spots, and those crisp mountain moments that actually help you clear your head.

Package Itinerary

Day 1 — Bagdogra – Darjeeling

Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and transfer to Darjeeling.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills to the charming hill station.
Spend the evening exploring the local surroundings or relaxing at leisure.
Check in to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 2 — Darjeeling Sightseeing

Start early with a visit to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga.
En route back, visit Ghoom Monastery and the famous Batasia Loop.
Continue sightseeing at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, and Peace Pagoda, and enjoy the Ropeway (ride at your own expense).
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 3 — Darjeeling to Gangtok

After breakfast, drive to Gangtok via the scenic Peshok Tea Gardens.
Enjoy beautiful mountain landscapes throughout the journey.
Check in to the hotel on arrival.

Day 4 — Gangtok City Sightseeing

After breakfast, enjoy a city tour covering Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, and Tashi View Point.
Visit the Rumtek Monastery, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handlooms, Research Institute of Tibetology, and Do Drul Chorten; Flower Exhibition Centre; and enjoy a ride on the Gangtok Ropeway (ticket at own expense).
Spend the evening shopping or relaxing at leisure.
Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 5 — Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion

After breakfast, proceed on a full-day excursion to the picturesque Tsomgo Lake.
Visit the revered Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (Baba Mandir).
Admire the stunning high-altitude Himalayan landscapes and enjoy time by the lake.
Return to Gangtok in the evening.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 — Gangtok to Bagdogra

Enjoy breakfast and complete the check-out formalities.
Transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for your onwards journey.
