Exhibiting the mountainous beauty of unexplored Sikkim, Gangtok and Darjeeling belong to the northeastern part of India. The trip begins in New Jalpaiguri, where you take a car 105 miles to Gangtok, streaming along the Teesta River and passing through Sikkim’s quaint villages. The next day, witness the frozen beauty of Tsomgo Lake and the sacred Baba Mandir. From here the tour proceeds to Darjeeling, where an early-morning drive up Tiger Hill yields a spectacular view of sunrise over Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak. We can just throw in a visit to Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute before you head back from Bagdogra and round off your memorable mountain retreat.

Package Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Gangtok

Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport.
Enjoy a scenic drive to Gangtok via Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary and the Teesta River.
Stop at Rangpo, the gateway to Sikkim.

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2 — Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the stunning Tsomgo (Changu) Lake, a glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Continue to the sacred Baba Mandir.
Spend time admiring the spectacular Himalayan landscapes.
Return to Gangtok.
Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3 — Gangtok to Darjeeling

Enjoy breakfast and check out from the hotel.
Drive to the picturesque hill town of Darjeeling.
Admire panoramic views of the majestic Kanchenjunga range en route.
Check in to the hotel upon arrival.
Spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 4 — Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill to witness a spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Visit Ghoom Monastery and the famous Batasia Loop.
Explore the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (subject to weekly closures).
Visit Tenzing Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, and Peace Pagoda.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 5 — Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Check out and drive to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station.
