Package Itinerary
Day 1
— The Scotland of India | Bangalore to Coorg Arrival
Your grand journey begins with a morning pickup from Bangalore Airport or Railway Station, followed by a scenic drive toward the coffee capital, Coorg. En route, visit the magnificent Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) in Kushalnagar, the largest Tibetan settlement in South India, known for its towering statues and vibrant murals. Explore the Dubare Elephant Camp by the Cauvery River, where you can witness elephant grooming, followed by a walk through the bamboo groves of Nisargadhama. Check into your resort in Madikeri by evening and soak in the fresh mountain air amidst the spice plantations before your overnight stay.
Day 2
— Misty Charms of Madikeri | Coorg Local Sightseeing
Dedicate your second day to the natural and historic wonders of Madikeri. Start your morning at the Abbey Falls, where water cascades through dense coffee and pepper vines, providing a perfect spot for nature photography. Visit the historic Madikeri Fort and the Omkareshwara Temple, which features a unique blend of Gothic and Islamic architecture. In the evening, head to Raja’s Seat, a seasonal garden of flowers and fountains that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the sun setting over the rolling green valleys of Coorg, marking a peaceful end to your highland exploration.
Day 3
— The Royal Heritage | Coorg to Mysore
After breakfast, we drive toward the cultural capital of Karnataka, Mysore. Upon arrival, visit the grand Mysore Palace, an iconic symbol of the Wodeyar dynasty’s architectural brilliance, featuring intricate carvings, royal artifacts, and stained-glass ceilings. Explore the St. Philomena’s Church, one of the tallest cathedrals in India, and head to the Chamundi Hills to seek blessings at the ancient temple and see the massive monolithic Nandi statue. Spend your evening at the beautifully manicured Brindavan Gardens, witnessing the famous musical fountain show as the lights illuminate the garden terraces.
Day 4
— The Wild & The Blue | Mysore to Ooty via Bandipur
Start early for a scenic journey that takes you through the heart of the Bandipur National Park. Keep your cameras ready to spot wild elephants, deer, and gaurs as you cross the border into Tamil Nadu via the Mudumalai forest corridors. If time permits, stop at the pristine Pykara Lake and Waterfalls for a speed-boat ride amidst the dense shola forests of the Nilgiris. Reach Ooty by late afternoon, check into your hotel, and spend a relaxed evening by the Ooty Lake, soaking in the cool breeze and the colonial charm of the "Queen of Hill Stations."
Day 5
— Nilgiri Vistas & Coonoor | Ooty Local Sightseeing
After a hearty breakfast, head to the Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiri range, for a panoramic 360-degree view of the blue mountains and the misty valleys below. Explore the aromatic Tea Museum to learn the art of tea-making and sample fresh Nilgiri brews before heading toward the sister-town of Coonoor. Visit the lush Sim’s Park and the iconic Dolphin’s Nose viewpoint for a spectacular sight of the Catherine Falls cascading in the distance. Return to Ooty in the evening, driving through emerald-green tea estates that carpet the rolling hills like a velvet blanket.
Day 6
— Final Blossoms & Departure
On your final morning, visit the Government Botanical Garden, which houses over a thousand species of plants and a 20-million-year-old fossilized tree. Explore the Government Rose Garden, one of the largest in India, featuring thousands of varieties across five beautiful terraces. After a final opportunity to shop for Ooty’s famous homemade chocolates, organic honey, and aromatic essential oils at the local market, we begin our descent back to Bangalore. Our team will assist you with a transfer to the Bangalore Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, marking the end of your grand 6-day trail.
